Business Objects Developer - Webi
This position is for a Business Objects WebI developer. The ideal candidate would Business Objects Developer that knows the entire system and has real world experience. This person will be responsible for all WebI development, unit testing and deployment, must be an experienced Business Objects WebI Designer.
The WebI Consultant/Developer is responsible and accountable for all Business Objects Development deliverables provided by the Enterprise reporting team. This includes requirement gathering for WebI development efforts and recommend architectural changes if needed to SAP Business Objects Universe(s). Initiates, architects, designs and leads WebI and report development, enhancements, and production. Also responsible for security, scheduling, publishing, meta data management and performance tuning of Web Intelligence. Acts as primary lead resource and accountable for all Business Objects WebI team deliverables. Must be able to mentor junior level resources.
Job Duties:
o Work with cross functional Universe Development and IT teams and develop WebI Documents
o Translates functional requirements into technical specifications
o Act as gatekeeper for all the WebI documents
o Recommend and take lead on new ideas of implementation of WebI.
o Should be thorough on documenting the test cases and Unit testing
o Provides technical leadership on BO WebI
o Performs code walkthroughs and formal reviews
o Contributes and reviews technical SDLC documentation
o Creates and maintains BO WebI
o Develops BO designs and supporting documentation
o Ensures adherence to locally defined standards and create/recommend any new standards for all developed components
o Provide production support on defects or change requests submitted through SMS
o Participates in design and development reviews
o Ensures performance metrics are met and tracked
o Writes and maintains unit tests
o Leading and consulting with cross functional Business Units/Portfolios in developing business strategy & plans to align, define and enable IT solutions
o Ability to thrive in a complex environment and manage competing priorities
o Providing Data Quality standards and best practices from definition through implementation for all SDLC solutions
Required Skills/Background:
o Bachelors Degree required in a technical discipline, with further formal higher education degree and certifications preferred in related technology disciplines.

o At-least 3 years of experience on developing WebI on SAP Business Objects Enterprise 3.x or 4.x environment.
o Understanding Dimensional modeling concepts is required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
