8K a year The Office of Communications and Marketing is seeking a media relations and communications specialist with the ability to both create content as well as bring visibility to Concordia through distribution of content to key media collaborators.
The ideal candidate will be able to work across multiple channels and connect with a broad variety of audiences.
The successful candidate will support the work of the Media Relations and Communications Strategist.
Responsibilities:
News and feature story writing Assembling facts for press releases and press release writing News monitoring Internal communication content creation and web updates Photography/videography to capture visual elements of news stories Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required Minimum Qualifications Required:
Associates, Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Preferred:
1
year of professional experience in communications, public relations or media relations Preferred Qualifications Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines Discretion and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Proficiency with web content management systems Photo/video shooting and editing skills.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
